For a spell i need to put what kind of target it can be casted on... Example (Air, Allied, Ground, Hero, Enemy, and so on). Is there any page that explains what each of them are?? or can anyone tell me what each of them are?

and second, i want to make a spell that can be casted on your own or your allies unit. Hero or just normal unit. So i checked these boxes on Targets Allowed.. Air, Allied, Ground, Hero, Non-Hero, Not Self, Organic, Players Unit... but for some reason it cant be casted on any units when i tested it... help?

try to make it more basic...

try maybe just air/allied/ground/organic

ok the basic version is Air, Ground, Not Self, Organic, Vulnable... For some reason it keeps saying Must target an Enemy unit when i tried using it... So i target enemy and it says must target frendly unit... frick what do i do? would this be because of the spell based off Siphon Mana?? maybe cuz siphon mana is only for enemy

by the way another question: Ability: Healing Spray, it says 70 Hp per wave each does that mean 70 hp for each unit healed or 70 hp divided in an area?
cuz it doesnt seem to be 70 per unit

Maybe the problem is that you don't have Enemy or Ally checked. If both are allowed try checking both. I think that may be the problem. I'll do some experimenting and see if I can figure out all the options.

Air / Ground / Friend / Self / Vulnerable / Invulnerable
Those are the targets allowed in "War drums", I think it fulfills your needs.

well does anyone know of a page that explains each of the targets?

I don't but, I think that I can explain what I have recently learned fairly simply.

First thing to worry about is Alliance:

Enemy - Obviously this means you can target the enemy.
Ally - This means you can target your ally's units, but not yours.
Friend - You can target your units or your ally's units.

If none of these are checked, you can't target anyone. If nothing but one of these is checked then it is assumed you can target air/ground/mechanical etc.

Air/Ground/Mechanical/Etc. work similarly to the alliance properties. If none are checked it means you can target them all. If any are checked then it means that other categories beneath them (such as hero) also work.

Alive means the unit has health. Dead means corpse I think, but I can't get it to accept any kind of corpse. (Killed unit, permanent). Perhaps it means a doodad corpse. Most of the rest are self explanatory or I haven't checked them.

Remember you must check an alliance property, and anything you check will include everything under it, unless specified. So if you select Enemy, that means all enemies, (dead, alive, ground, air, hero). But if you select enemy ground that will mean no air (unless you select air as well).

Hero means you must select a Hero. Nothing else. Not selecting Hero means you can still target one, but you can also target other things.

You cannot target invulnerable units by default. If Invulnerable is checked then you can only target Invlulnerable units. To target both invulnerable and vulnerable, you must check both. I believe Self and Not-Self work in the same manner.

Dead is used for things like Animate Dead or whatever the necromancer's skeleton-making spell is called. So corpses.

K, thanx. Does that mean like the dead guys who are invulnerable, but only last for like 30 seconds, or does it also include summoned skeletons? Also is there a way to target only undead? It seems like something that should be in there, but I don't see it.

Dead means corpse. That's all. If it's walking around, it's not dead as far as the game is concerned.

Ok, I understand what you were saying. Sorry, I got confused for a sec. See the problem is whenever I set the Targets Allowed for Dead, and when I click on a corpse it says "Must target a corpse." even though I am clicking on a corpse. Maybe it only works for certain spells. The spell I was using to test it was the Sorceress's Slow spell, which doesn't make much sense on a corpse.

How often does the Trending Content box refresh?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Also, in the last template there was a seperation between sticky threads and regular threads in the forum
  • Ghan Ghan:
Not sure. It's probably part of a cron job.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hey Ghan, whatever cron job its part of its not running its been the same for days. If it does not work can we remove it?
  • The Helper The Helper:
    LOL! A tweak job!
  • The Helper The Helper:
this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I changed the settings a bit.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Narrowed it to 7 days for the half-life and set views to 0 weight.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I dont think Trending would work for this forum it would be better to just have the last 5 posts from anywhere
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably will have to give it some time to update.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I'm guessing it is not retroactive.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Next on the punch list: Update the server to Ubuntu 24.04.

Mad Lads is new I see it displays original post date

One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs
  • Ghan Ghan:
    I've seen that as well.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
  • The Helper The Helper:
oh wow, i bet i can post x links now and do the webp pics now giggity
