Targetting Tree Spells

I want a spell to target both unit's and trees. But for some reason, Channel to target tree's won't work. I click a tree, it says Must target a tree~.

Anyone know any base spells that can target trees + units? Or am I doing something wrong here.

Sentinel can target both trees and units if you adjust the targets allowed. While the spell effect itself does not work on units, the spell event still occurs.

I just tested Sentinel and tree's can't be targeted once they have a Sentinel. I can easily kill / recreate the tree, but it results in the awkward 'variation' change.

Any others?

You could also just create a dummy unit and Abolish Magic the tree. ;-)
