Taskbar on bf1942 mapload (crash)

hello,

My taskbar comes up in the game when i am connecting to a server and when I change mods (in custom game).. it kicks me to desktop showing no sign of battlefield 1942 being open. (it isnt)

· 2.26 ASUS Pentium 4 (P4T533-C)
· 1024 MB RDRAM PC800 (RIMM)
· Hercules 3D Prophet 9700/9700Pro Series
· SB Audigy Audio [FFE0]
· Logitech MX300 Optical Mouse
· Microsoft PS/2 Keyboard
·· if more are needed tell me

rofl i forgot something else sorry

my mouse is using a PS/2 Adapter :/ that might be causing it?

p.s. i am not using ps/2 adapter anymore. but the problem still consists. please help.

Does it happen if you close all the windows or send them to the system tray before playing, too?
