The game is easy when not playing on Inferno :( Lol

Well... "easy" is pretty elitist to say. Hell is not "easy" but it's easier for some people than others.

Also, Diablo is not a game that is necessarily supposed to be insanely difficult. They added inferno in order to give a challenge to players. I have been having a blast in normal mode getting all my characters through to the end. I'm a pretty good player, but playing casually, I still die a few times along the way. It does ramp up in difficulty. Also, the classes play differently. You might be surprised at the difficulty level changes when picking different classes.

Anyways, you can say "anything under inferno is not challenging enough for me", but it's a little naughty to come here saying that the game is simply "easy". It's kinda... rude and unwarented. I don't think the game is "easy". I was quite suprised at how hard the butcher was when I got to him on my monk at level 13. I leveled up a bit more and got some better gear and sure he was a pushover... but I wouldn't say he is "easy".

I'm a very competant player, but I also don't lie to myself or others on the subject of difficulty. As always, difficulty is relative. I have a friend who says everything is easy all the time. If an encounter takes him 30 minutes to get right and 15 deaths, he will still call it easy and brag. I don't mean to say that you're like this or anything, but know the consequences of your words.

Anyone who says "blah blah easy blah blah" of any game gets an immediate eye roll from me. Everything is ALWAYS relative.

lol I don't need help, I'm in Nightmare. I'd be farther if I had more time. :) But what's the rush really? I'm having a blast!

I say the game is easy because it IS easy up to Inferno mode. Hell mode gives a challenge, and isn't as easy as Normal, but Normal, Nightmare and Hell mode all scale fairly well with item drops. Inferno, on the other hand, either requires an overpowered farming class (which have mostly been nerfed) or a massive amount of gold to buy items those classes have farmed. Hell mode requires a bit more damage mitigation than Nightmare, but the jump isn't nearly as large as the jump from Hell to Inferno. You can survive with ~200 resists in Hell. In Inferno, be ready to try to go from 200 to 900+ and have at least 30k hp and about 50k DPS just to survive in Act I. Act II is a whole 'nother story. Get one shot by the wasps in the chasm at the very beginning.

No one is lying when they say Inferno is a whole 'nother ball game compared to the other difficulties. It really is. When we say everything is easy up to Inferno, we're not saying going up to Inferno isn't difficult. It's somewhat difficult once you jump from Nightmare to Hell. Normal isn't all that difficult as long as the gear you get from drops as you're leveling are scaling well. If all else fails, the equipment you buy from the Auction House for about 10k is good enough. In Inferno, you need about 100 mil to get gear for Inferno. Sure, you might get close to dying or even die in your journey from Normal to Inferno ~100 times. How about dying 50 times trying to kill Butcher in Act I Inferno like me, Jedimindtrixxx, and my Demon Hunter friend did. And she (my Demon Hunter friend) has about 70k DPS.

In all of Normal to Hell, you might day a couple hundred times. In Inferno Act I up to Quest 4 or 5? You might die about that many times. Or maybe a bit more.

Being realistic here? Inferno compared to Normal through Hell, Inferno is way harder. The rest is easy. Hell (no pun intended), comparing Inferno Act I to the rest would make it easy to say Inferno is way harder.

I'm playing Hardcore, and Iwill try Inferno one day. I don't know when, but I'm 60 already.

I guess I'll try Inferno with my friends once I have a thousand resists, 80k DPS and 10k armor. Maybe a 60% dodge or so. Can't tell, really.

uh....
I agree with everything you said except this... seems like a delusional view of the phrase "easy" to me.

When something is 1/100th the difficulty of something else, you would say it's "easier."

Seems to be the correct usage of "easy" to me.

I ordered like five blocks for 15 dollars. They're just little aluminum blocks with holes drilled into them
  • Varine Varine:
They are pretty much disposable. I have shitty nozzles though, and I don't think these were designed for how hot I've run them
  • Varine Varine:
I tried to extract it but the thing is pretty stuck. Idk what else I can use this for
  • Varine Varine:
I'll throw it into my scrap stuff box, I'm sure can be used for something
  • Varine Varine:
I have spare parts for like, everything BUT that block lol. Oh well, I'll print this shit next week I guess. Hopefully it fits
  • Varine Varine:
I see that, despite your insistence to the contrary, we are becoming a recipe website
  • Varine Varine:
    Which is unique I guess.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Actually I was just playing with having some kind of mention of the food forum and recipes on the main page to test and see if it would engage some of those people to post something. It is just weird to get so much traffic and no engagement
  • The Helper The Helper:
So what it really is me trying to implement some kind of better site navigation not change the whole theme of the site
  • Varine Varine:
How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air
