tering problem help

Ok I can play the gane in the highest detail but when I look with mouse I see some tering on the sreen about 3quaters of the way up the scren. This is a problem on all my games but I found out that all my games use the quake three engine.
Battlefield
castle wolf.......
Medal of honor
I am going to buy a game that does not use quake three engine but I need some help fixing battlefeild the other games I dont care about. this is my computer specs
pent 4
2.660ghz
windows xp
radeon 9700 tx {dell }
768 mb ram pc 27000
please help

    I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
