Terraining Contest - II: Fall/Autumn

In my opinion all map should have the same tool available, model,tileset etc.Making a contest where everyone dont have access to same tool make it imbalanced in my view, it doesnt prove your better because you dont start on the same level to begin with.

and no having having to internet/download doesnt it make everyone on same ground as some ppl will make model or find model that nobody will find.

the summer contest was nice and whoever did #12 is awesome

might seem like a dumb question but how can I submit my map to you? you can't have an attachment in a pm, right? could I e-mail my screenshot to you?

btw, I deleted my map of mistake so my screenshot have to do or I need to begin from scratch again

Yes you could use attachments in emails.

If you do not like the rules of this particular contest, you do not have to enter. However, i will be creating a suggestion thread when this contest has come to an end. You may then voice your idea's for the rules and theme of the 3rd contest there.

Submissions must be in the form of a screenshot

Be sure to keep a copy of your map. I will contact the winners to make sure their terrains aren't photoshopped or edited.​

You can upload your screenshot to imageshack, photobucket (or any similar website)

should the screenshot represent the terrain of the whole map or could you make a small pot of terrain and show it with a certain close camera angle?

Its just supposed to be one picture from one angle. You don't need a whole map of terrain. Just one scene.

Wip 2 is grey. That doesn't really fit the theme. The first one was better because the first thing that made you think of when you saw it was fall. This second WIP looks like a rainy summer or spring. The scene is also in the middle of a city which will be much harder to give you the feeling of fall. There are green trees to which should be in any case, orange and it doesn't rain that much in fall so it doesn't represent the fall theme. I say stick to the first WIP.

It all depends on the creator's interpretation - some see Autumn as those bright gold, brown, red (etc) colours while others may see it as a transition between Summer and Winter (with WIP 2 being on the Winter end of that spectrum)

Also, Autumn doesn't necessarily mean bright and sunny. Spend some time in Ireland and you'll see what I mean

I say stick to the first WIP.

I do hope you realise that the WIP's shown aren't both belonging to Wasted (I don't think he'd be participating anyway since he's hosting the contest), he is just providing other users with the WIP images that the creators have submitted

You can send me WIPs, and I'll periodically post all the WIPs I have, so that people can comment.
