Every Tesla enthusiast who has followed the company over the years would know that CEO Elon Musk tends to be very optimistic with his forecasts. He also has a tendency to hype products and innovations prior to their release. FSD Beta 10.69 is a notable example of this.
This is one of the reasons why Musk’s comments about certain Tesla events may be taken with a grain of salt by those who tend to adopt a neutral stance on the electric vehicle maker. But when veterans in the tech sector, particularly those who are extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields, hype up a Tesla event, even skeptics could be intrigued.
Such a thing happened recently when Tim Zaman, who was previously from NVIDIA and is currently Tesla’s lead for its AI Infra & AI Platform team, shared some optimistic words about AI Day 2022 event. In a post on Twitter, Zaman expressed his excitement for the event, going so far as to state that it would be “nuts.”
There’s a lot of hype surrounding AI Day 2022, part of which is due to Elon Musk’s comments about the company’s humanoid robot project. Musk had previously noted that Tesla would likely be able to unveil a working prototype of the Tesla Bot (Optimus) on the event.
