The truly sad part is I'm on a college T3 that before spring break would download at over 200 kilobytes/second. Within the LAN is fine, anything outside is worse than a 14.4

I tried that speed test at DSL Reports. These guys are the best for assisting you with connection speeds.

t'kron is obviously much faster. When the employee came to install my connection, he mentioned my wiring was outdated but he could renew it for 100$. Ridiculous, doing it yourself costs close to 2$. I will look into that.

better, but not great in comparison with some of your systems! I ran the test a couple of minutes later, and the results were much worse - over 12 seconds for the download portion.

lol, i ran the one from toast.net from one of the servers in ohio, and when it graphed it my little red line was well off the page, about 1 page over at 3651 K. However when i ran the same test from a server in TX i got substantially lower results, I think there is probably a problem with my ISP and that area.

On that 1mb file test from them, I first fell out of my chair laughing, then got kicked by my roomate because I started to gag on my own tongue.
My result bar was 5 pages off screen at ~24000kbits/sec
