TFT Trouble

Well i recently had my computer wiped [ many reasons ]

So i reinstalled warcraft 3 RoC every map works fine

Install TFT and i cannot save / open / edit TFT Maps

As i look at the TFT maps it has a white blank page icon next to it

and when i try to download maps i cannot save them in WE because there is no menu for WE

...
Ive reinstalled about 4 times and all the same

Any one else experienced this problem?

Not sure why you're opening the file with Firefox..

t looks very weird, though. Never heard of it before.
The only thing I can think of is that your WE is not installed / updated properly, since (from your screenshot) it seems your computer cannot find a proper program to open the map with.

What does the 'Open with:' say?
-Can you choose 'World Editor' from a list, there?

Did you try opening the World Editor and then open the map from there?

I normally click save map then i choose WE but since in installed i can only open Normal war3 maps not TFT maps

And the same for saving the maps
i can save normal war3 maps
But i can only open the TFT maps in Warcraft 3 itself [ the test bit ]

Try to rename the file...like If your file is called: Aceharth Kick Demo,try instead Aceharth Kick Demo.w3m...

What im saying is that i can save and play Normal war3 maps

WHen i try to save TFT map it comes up only allowing me to open in warcraft 3 instead of opening in WE

I realy hope i dont have to give up warcraft 3 lol

And im letting down a few people because they asked me to help and i cant help them at the moment

you could also contact blizzard...

i assume you got a legal version with a valid CD key.

yes both legal CD Keys but 1 is digitally owned so i cant realy send off the disk

You should also do a scan for spyware and adware and remove them and then try another reinstall.

Have you really installed TFT? It looks to me like file extensions didn't get registered. Try reinstalling it, and don't forget to install the latest patch.

I have the latest patch

How would i fix that problem if that is the problem?

When you install a program which uses specific extensions for the files it uses, the program registers to Windows which program will open these files with those extensions. In your case, you installed War3, and it uses maps which have .w3m extension. War3 registered to Windows that WE opens these maps. TFT added a new kind of maps with extension .w3x and it should also register to Windows that WE opens these maps. It's either something wrong with your Windows, TFT or you really have a virus or something.

Idk how likely that is, it would only affect gamepley if it was damaged before installation, after that, the game sets itself up to run without the disc.

How do i know if its my comp,TFT or a virus ?

You could try this:
Right-click on a TFT map->Open With->Choose or browse for World Editor.exe
Does it work now? What does it say, if it doesn't work?

Have you tried opening a map from the very WE? File->Open

You can always run it as a raw program, but I'm afraid that would go a bit advanced, and may not be supported to talk about here.

I clicked browse then worldedit.exe it opened but in an ordinary map like youve just started WE up.

I REALY AM GETTING PISSED OFF.....

I wish there was a simple solution
