But the BS thing is you need to buy the rechargeable packs in the first place. Increasing the price of the controller like 15 dollars.

What's even more is that, originally, the PS3 was such a BS price And took years to come down to "normal" pricing.

Is it a problem if rechargable batteries do not come with the controllers? I suggest not getting a console if buying few hurts your wallet.

Just because a lot of people buy it, it doesn't mean it's necessarily the better console. Most people in my flat own a 360, for example, but just two people have PS3s. And we all agree that the PS3 is the superior console.

I mainly look at the games available on each console. I own neither PS3 nor Xbox 360 (nor Wii!) but from what I've seen/heard, PS3 is the better option.

Looking at the "Exclusive" games to the 360 and PS3 there are:
PS3:
- Uncharted 2
- Killzone 2
- LittleBigPlanet
- Metal Gear Sold 4
- Resistance 1 + 2

Xbox 360:
- Halo Series
- Fable 2 (And soon 3)
- Gears of War 2
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Mass Effect 2

I then look at cross-platform games, namely:

- Final Fantasy XIII
- FIFA 10
(All I can think of atm).

Then we see the upcoming games:

PS3:
- MAG (256 Players online, true war)
- Gran Turismo 5
- White Knight Chronicles
- Final Fantasy XIII Versus

360:
- Halo Reach
- Dead Rising 2

The blu-ray player in the PS3 is just an added bonus as is the free online play, both have upgradable hard drives as well (I think). PS3 has better hardware, with a cell processor and can render games much better than the 360 can (This is arguable though).

From what I've heard about PS3 games, some alone are worth getting a PS3 for (Uncharted 2, LBP etc... which received universal acclaim...), Xbox 360 only really has Halo up its sleeve, and if you're not into FPS games... Fable etc.

What I can see so far, PS3 seems to be the way to go IMO.

What I said was:

Which clearly means that everyone in the flat (8 of us) prefer PS3.
It was merely to emphasise the point that high sales figures do not necessarily equal a better console.

MAG and GT5 would be the only, possibly real generally popular games.
And as for a game being worthy enough just to buy that game, games like Gears of War are also worth it. We bought our Xbox for Gears when we lil kiddies, heh.

I own neither PS3 nor Xbox 360 (nor Wii!) but from what I've seen/heard,

You must get them to experience them,
And numbers... like 3/4 of video gamers in my old schools and now are usually all XBox 360 users, and the majority of the people that don't have consoles always get them for like the holidays. o.o Cuz I mean, you play together on the Xbox... my schools have XBox tournaments. lol

I realise that, I was talking about PS3 and 360 as PC is not considered a console, therefore L4D2 and Halo2 are exclusive to the 360 as it is not available on PS3. (They are both owned by M$ so... lol )

I would however also like to add that the 360 would be better for online play as... there are more people.

Lets try and keep the "This console is better" arguments out of this thread. There is absolutely no way to prove one is better, it's all opinion based. State the reason WHY YOU like your favorite console, and don't try to down other peoples opinions.

If you look at this in the long term, you'll realize you can save 50 bucks per month on a game. Rechargeable batteries won't give you enough allowance to let you capable enough to buy a new game.

In short, it's not good. Also, economically and environmental-friendly healthy.

Well, yes. Unless most of you, who have higher wages, I don't like to charge over the batteries, but I sure do love the games. I vowed to void my controller's warranty and make it USB wired.

What if you don't have any reasons why you like the console? My favorites are all three of them...
