The Sound Will Not Play When I Request It To

I use a sound, and under the trigger which says to play the selected sound, it does not play.
Kindly help.

Someone else posted this exact question.

I'm thinking, make sure that you:

-Restart the computer
-Open the sound editor
-Pick a sound or tune and click the use a soun/music buttons.
-The actions are: play sound or play music
-When testing the game, make sure your volume is on.

Those are the only suggestions i can give EXCEPT:

I tried a sound once and it appeared empty with no sound in, if that happens then it wont work and you must pick a different sound.

turn off 3d sounds...

open sound editor, double click on your sound uncheck 3d sounds, now it will play.
