I'd guess its a clever use of tilted and raised shrubs. That's amazing, by the way... reminds me of the Greek titan in Age of Mythology.

Actually it's an Atlantean Titan, Gaia.

But anyways, I don't get what you mean by foreground trees...technically you have to cut them down to get past them, so I call that foreground.

Thought I'd test my utterly rubbish terraining skills for the second (Or is it third?) time.
I tried using Fog this time, as well as doodad scaling.

The trees are placed kinda retardedly, they should be in forests not just standing alone in an even pattern like that. Trees standing alone are ok, but not that many. And you can see the trees on the background through the fog.

Not anymore, you used it too often. :p And the sun rays aren't realistic.

Hm, forgot that one, it's from the last WT. The theme was Death.
As you an see, I spend a hell lot of time on it. :p

Well there isn't much I can say about the execution because there isn't really much in it, but the concept is very nice :D

As for the sun rays well they are supposed to look fantastic not realistic :p

For WT, theme is Lake / Pond. No you don't have to make both. =P

Ya ya I know, it lacks quality. >:

That city on the island in the second one could easily be the Imperial City...

I'm currently playing around with the "depth" in playable (oh my... =O) terrain.
It's more of a sketch and taken from the "normal" game camera, so... don't expect anything pretty.

Guess it's not hard to figure out which game inspired the dungeon part. =P
