The titan of war razed the fields of peace,
And Man ran and died from the thirsty beast,
Cities fell while armies clashed,
Eyes were clawed and teeth were gnashed,
Leaders sat and watched the bloody fray,
As the eyes of the young turned cold and gray,
They said that carnage could bring peace,
While the shades of Hades held a welcoming feast
And in that day that darkest hour,
In front of man did the titan tower,
Bullets bombed forth from his steely eyes,
His metal gears meant to disguise,
Though his iron cogs did grind,
The one who made him was mankind.

I don't usually write poems, I write short stories and fiction, so be brutal.

I liked it, guy. The third stanza(?) got a lot longer after the much shorter second one, and it sounded a little off while I was reading it in my head, but you got the right number of syllables and all that at least so it doesn't really matter. I'm not a poet, but anyone can tell that the ending of this was good. Way to go, feller.
