Introduction

We are closing what was a great year for all of second religion here on The Helper, video games. Whether you are sticking around with the old school World Editor or moving ahead and learning Galaxy, we can all agree that we had fun playing the new titles that debuted over the course of 2010. Here we are, starting a new tradition, The Helper Video Game Awards!

Just like the Member Awards and the Movie Awards, this is another time to throw your vote on the best and brightest. I highly recommend reviewing Wikipedia's 2010 Game Releases List.​

i havnt gotten all the games ive wanted this year, including both the rpgs i really wanted (Fallout NV and Fable 3) so im going to ignore some of the topics to avoid some bias

Yeah. had to remove a lot of options. bad year of video games for me (not meaning that bad video games came out but bad cuz i couldnt get em all )
I also couldnt decide on some (like best overall and best gameplay) so i left that out too. Oh and i only own a 360 so i couldnt really say anything bout consoles.

Just looking now at the games I've bought in 2010, I've come to realise I only bought five new games. Just five. Compared to 2009, when there would probably have been 2-3 games fighting over each category, this year I'm gonna just put in the ones I think are relevant.

Best Audio: Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
Best Gameplay: God of War III
Most Customizable: Modnation Racers
Most Enjoyable: Modnation Racers
Best Adventure Game: God of War III
Best Music Game: Rock Band 3
Best Racing Game: Modnation Racers
Best RTS/Strategy: Worms 2: Armageddon
Best FPS: Call of Duty: Black Ops

So yeah, a pretty limited selection from me. Though RB3 was the better music game, GH had a waaay better soundtrack to it. Also, I expanded the RTS category 'cos Worms wouldn't fit anywhere else.

I am looking forward to a far better year in 2011 (Uncharted 3! Resistance 3! Ratchet and Clank! Mass Effect 2 (PS3)! Ummm... a lot more too, I'm sure ).
