I have to say that avalanch is best tank bc it becomes imposible to kill him with anything BUT range heros. bc at thorn ora and spicked carpace and lvl5 make it so that mele units do more damage to themselves that to the avalanch. which makes him unkilable to anyone but the dark ranger.

Personally I feel that Footmen Frenzy USED to be a good, fun game around the time of the 3.8 version. Ever since then each release has been less and less fun and some of the changes in the 5.0 series honestly make it seem like the creators are trying their hardest to make the game die off. One thing I can attribute to this is that it was probably in the top 3 most hosted games in its glory days (3.8-4.0) but now it's barely hosted

Andrew we got to play a FF together. I used to be really good at it a while ago, but I can't host 3.2 anymore because I had to reformat.

The 5.4 version wasn't actually made by the real makers of footy.
And it kinda sux.

6.4b is kinda good. It's kinda like 4.2 with better balance.
There are also a few new heroes and items, but they aren't as important as balance.

It's just so sad that there are like 3 hacked versions of footy that are more often hosten than the original...
And those are just stupid imbalanced versions I wouldn't want to play :<

I have played a Version with Chuck Norris... He pwned everything Especially his ultimate... I dealt 3000 Damage at Level 1, with a cooldown of about 60 Seconds...

I'm pretty sure that's Footy 2+, completely different.
Imo, frenzy is overrated. The heroes don't seem to have many original abilities. Most custom heroes just have a selection of standard abilities. The few changed spells have just minor details changed, like the name with no different artwork.

I played a strange ver called
"FOOTY LVL 100000000000000000000 ANTI BASE KILL"
Or something, where when you attack or cast spells you gain EXP, making multi-heroes is good in this version, as you can make them attack eachother next to the town hall, keeping them invulnerable. The exp is abusable at low levels, attacking then stopping will give you exp, repeating this will level you up ALOT. By mid-game with my friend I had:
A FireLord
2 Edges
A Golbin Alchemist
A Dreadlord
Fox (Doom Guard)
A Lich
In this game Dark Ranger's Charm PWNED, cos it cost no mana, so you can steal all the taurens you want, also, by second last level, black arrow spawned 6 abominations, I thought that was kinda messed up!

Footmen maps are so utterly imbalanced beyond any kind of help. Just the fact that I must have atleast 20 footmen maps of version 5.4 proves it. The heroes are unoriginal, most of them are just normal wc3 heroes, and those who are custom are those who are most imbalanced of all, but often it's just a combination of normal WC3 spells with no modifications at all. I once had a ranged intelligence hero with thunder clap, had the revenant model and talked like Priestess of the Moon. There are "special" heroes, like Avalanche, which are ridicously overpowered.

The terrain is bland and boring, with a maximum of 5 doodads in the game. There is almost no triggering, no hero revive system and does not even have a multiboard or leaderboard (A few maps have these features though). There is no killing spree or assist system.

Items are boring, some maps have wierd recipes with icons that look the same and bad descriptions, you start with 2 safecards known as town teleports that makes you unkillable unless they stun you in the right moment and you can easily buy new ones in the middle of the map for ~100g.

And still I play it. Why? Because I love the map idea even though it has so many, horribly big flaws.

You'd think someone would make a decent map of this type. The concept still seems popular so that is even more perplexing I guess.

Yeah, exactly. It's not like the map triggering or anything is hard to do.

Wow, seems pretty nice. I'll try it out. *gasp* Heroes actually have custom abilities! And there are actually doodads in the game.
