a map I created.


Genre: Tank Simulation, Objective base game...(kill the Control Point)
Inspired by: Battle City (NES game)
Protected: Yes.
Current Version: 0.6c
[Note:]I didn't test it yet.. so It might have some bugs...

What in it:
A desert, some obstacles, Control Points and Tanks!., freakin' cool ain't it!

I hope you enjoy playing or testing this map..

Update 0.6c Log.
*well I changed the issue with pressing left and right.. that sometimes or most of the times it doesn't work.. instead.. it will just change a real(facing angle) variable.

Update 0.6b Log.
*fixed the part where units should be stopped when hitting obstacles.

Update 0.6 Log.
*The Camera!, it no longer has Black\Dark Fog!, its now.. Light Gray/Grey.
*Ultimately Nerfed Auto Repair.
*It now has Victory and Defeat.
*as mentioned below for confusion of tanks, added the Sherman Fireflies(because a Sherman(non-modified) Alone can't win against a Tiger in Real Life)
*Flare (Hotkey: R)
*SMART Mine (Hotkey: E) <<note.. this is... kinda.. useless.. at the moment. its fairly weak.
*Fire Cannon Re-assign hotkey to F, since pressing alt+C will ruin game camera...
*added Mana Cost of shots.. I don't know if it has it already... O well. to avoid spammers.
*ugly placed obstacles...
*new Logo?. by the way in the Minimap Image.. I tried to add Kofi_banan's name on it.. and.. it seems blurry..
*there is no Unit Kill/Deaths counter yet.. I will try to add that soon.

Basic Instructions:
1.) Destroy The Control Point at all costs (5 Points to win)
2.) If an enemy stands in your way. Dismantle them.
3.) You do not hold and press the arrow keys... you press them madly.
4.) Win.

Btw.... The damage of the shell depends on the Agility of the Tank/Tiger/Sherman.
Use the Minimap as a Radar.. wisely.

Map Re attached again. and planning on stopping the version count of letters XD

btw.. a poll.
current ideas is:
a.) make the map a city.. with lots of destructible to destroy.. like.. that wall, those trees, and that house.

b.) I really do need to attach a Kill/Death list huh :D

c.)was planning on adding power ups , such as a star, armor bonuses and etc... just like battle city[nes].

I think the Z camera view is too high. It makes the screen a lot darker. Lower it.

Create AI damn it :p. Not played multiplayer yet but I think it might be confusing if because all the tanks look the same. Not sure which is ally or enemy. You can probably add an effect with player color (the Arrow for sell item effect seems good).

tanks looks the same.. is on purpose.

encourages the players to look at the mini map :D

camera looks dark... awesome huh.. on purpose too.. but yeah..!

hm nice idea, though it needs much improvements!

you should change the different movement speed levels to a higher number for more choices.
you should change the movement to the right/left to loop if you hold down the arrow keys.
you should add something to change the power of your shoot. (how far it goes and add some splash damage)
you should add a function to change the camera individual.
you could work around to have a better terraining ^^

having a lot of movement speed levels.. well. not a good idea..

since i tried it to be a tank simulator game..(even if it is.. quite.. impossible)

like any other vehicles.. it has a transmission, which has 5 gears and reverse..
following the same rule.. i have 3 gears(forward), 2 gears(backwards).

seriously... I want people to break they're keyboard.. even a part of it... the arrow keys.

actually.. I rather have people pressing it madly... because.. it reduces the boring-factor.. that it already has...

in a small map like that... high powered guns such as the fixed-gun of a Tiger... I can't really imagine how the shells disappear/stops instantly in thin air.

shells do have splash, tiny.. but they still do...

actually.. I decide to make it a round game.. just like the old.. battle city from NES. where people destroy teh enemy flag. or capture the flag...

thinking of Auto-Loader ability of Battlemaster tanks from Generals Zero Hour.
thinking of adding Flare.. for night battles..
thinking of adding land mines.. for escaping purposes...
I know its not polish!, but.. I try my best : )

Just a note that with arrow keys, if played on b.net, every player apart from the host will have a delay on the arrow keys, which won't make the movement very easy for them.

well.. funny enough, I played it with some people on a Virtual Lan Server.

after 5 minutes of them trying... they almost have more than 80% accuracy...

funny enough, I wasn't even laughing.. they were.... monsters...


but yeah... I did notice those delays.

although good thing.. before they got the hang of it... my tank already has a higher level than theirs XD
