Tooltip Error

Is there any other way to trigger this?

This is the trigger
Trigger:
  • Buy chickens Copy
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) Equal to StashSpot
    • Actions
      • Unit - Create 1 Chicken for (Owner of (Triggering unit)) at (Random point in Chickens <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
      • Unit - Set level of Buy Chickens for (Triggering unit) to ((Level of Buy Chickens for (Triggering unit)) + 1)

The "Buy Chickens" ability is based of the Charge gold and lumber.
There are 50 levels and the tooltips are;
normal - Buy a Chicken
normal extended - You currently have <A005:AAns,rng1> Chickens.
normal extended level 2 - You currently have <A005:AAns,rng2> Chickens.
etc
Range level 1(rng1) = 1
Range level 2(rng2) = 2
etc.

But in-game the tooltip will only display level 1, and not change even though the level of the ability increases
Can any come up with a solution?

Well, from the given trigger in that thread, all he's doing is adding the ability "restore" and then removing it straight away, supposedly it reset's the UI updating the tooltip properly, but I've never heard of it before.

You can try give it a shot, just add the two lines in gui below in your trigger.

Thanks any +rep etc..

Sorry man didn't work.
I've given up on it and accepted that Charge gold and lumber is fucked.
What i've done to bypass it is added a count chicken trigger that will display the amount of chicken in the pen
This is an example of my problem
Let me know if you fixed the issue

charge gold / lumber is just a pretty quirky ability.

it doesnt have a cooldown, nor mana cost either.
i think the only good work around would be buying starcraft 2 and creating your map with that game.

Well, like I said before, never come across this problem before. But at least if you add/remove restore, or disable/enable the ability, the correct gold cost shows up, but the tool tip doesn't change.

Don't know if your actual trigger is anything like this test one, but if you level it straight away, it charges at the next level up. As in, with level 1 it should charge 20, but actually charges level 2 = 25.

If you've got a work around just use that, if it works it works.

@accname that solution is a bit extreme :p
