I know it says "Online" as a prefix but you dont need to play it online but its best if you do. Owning some poor noob couldnt be more fun.
Its possibly the best game ive played in a long time it can keep you busy for HOURS.

ive actually played this game before. I had a problem learning the moves, its pretty fun once you learn how to play

I've also played this before but I never could get it down right. It takes ages to get any of that stuff down perfectly.

Im not to sure Blade, Only thing i can think of is an older version maybe. Its not as good but its playable. It doesnt have the MODS section so you cant play with swords and such.

Well the Free Play's goal is pretty much perfection in my opinion. Like football, all moves must be smooth and lethal.
I went through the tutorial and the two basic moves were definitely not basic. Too much joints involved.

Running is actually very easy for the pros and even me. I find that best game style is Akido because its fast paced and rounds are short. The Wiki has a few tutorials about moves and running try them.

Hehe, it's nice to see that there are other people here who enjoy Toribash Damn hard to do something really spectacular - current version doesn't appear to have the same collection of replays that older versions did, which is kinda disappointing (Chezzz had some pretty mindblowing ones )

Currently though, I'm only playing against Uke to figure out some moves, and against a friend since I don't want to humiliate myself any more than I've already done

Some older versions (I think around 3.0, or there abouts) would have been playable offline, while still having mod capabilities (which were enabled through the Match Setup menu I think)

It doesn't take extremely long to get started on stuff though - sure, you won't be able to rip Uke/your opponent asunder (like in the replays), but you can have some fun all the same - a handy enough starting point (for single-player) IMO is extend ankles (or abs), pass 10 frames, contract pecs and toggle grip on your hands. Once you've got a grip of the head, there is so many options available - decapitation or removal of the arms is always a fun choice

I'm still fairly crap at this game (I've only gotten back into it after, about, a year) but you don't need to be a master to achieve something reasonably fun (replay saved on v3.9, I'm unsure if it will work with earlier versions)

i got a move for judo, i tried it on some people, i got past 2 people. Its weakness is probably the fact that if someone kicks you or does a flip you wont have a support because the move ends up making the enemy a support

Left bend Lumbar
Extend Right Glute
Relax Right Ankle

After one turn, if you manage to get them either release your right arm or contract your left elbow to attempt to break a limb and bring them down.

The move smacks them on the head and moves your guy around to the side so you can set something up

Its strange i used to play with Hold All (C) but now i play Relaxed i find it much smoother and fun though its much harder.

if i let myself relax during the move itll bring myself down and ill have no support. This might be one of my only moves that uses hold all. Otherwise i go for a drunken style

After browsing through some moves on the Toribash Wiki, I stumbled across the Lightning Fingers mod - if you haven't tried it, it basically adds much greater force (although, presumably, it also has a higher dismemberment threshold) which allows for some pretty insane moves to be pulled off - after 5 minutes of messing around, I managed to get a fairly nice decap

For those interested in recreating it (or, possibly, finding some different variation to dismember other parts of the body),
