The curse of the Bl… Err, Humans

Most of the members of this forum are probably older and wiser then me, and probably also had this problem once. This problem I speak about is completely unrelated to Warcraft III, but there's no Off Topic board I know off (I was probably absent, as always, and didn't notice it).
I know for sure that you all will think I'm whiny, and think I blow over, but I really need help.

Since many months, I begun to worry about everything. About the little I am worth, about what others think about me, about my destiny, about my goal and about the function of life. (sorry for this stupid expression, but I don't know a synonymous for functionj that fits in this phrase) It begun to get worse and worse. The last few days, I begun to get agressive, stressed, somewhat violent, and extremely touchy. Today, after I became furiously for a strap once again, (We made an excursion) I ran away from the rest of my group, not knowing to where, not knowing with which goal. I had no intention to go home, to go back to my group, or to run away from home. I just walked away like a mindless, rotting ghoul.

The point:
While thinking, I realised that the humans are cursed to be unhappy. I already worried about this years ago, but now much more.
Thousands of years, humans evoluated, invented things, and formed a civilization. And what did they reach? Priorbially, they made their own cage. A cage wherein they live a stressing, unhappy life. This intellegent race is cursed to be imprisoned by the laws of the society. The humans, which are so superior in comparison to other life types, have a miserable life in my opinion. In fact, the low intellegent life types which don't have a society are to be envied by the humans. We are never content. We always search for something more. If we don't have a goal, we search one, if we've achieved that goal, we don't enjoy the benefits from it and search another. If we have problems, we're unhappy. If we don't have problems, we search them.

I know that you will all find me laughable, and consider this as annoying, spam, posted by a disturbed, whiny foul. And you're right to think so.

*sigh* If even I'm saying that I'm whiny, then why do I post this stupid topic here?

I certainly know I'm not alone. I just can't accept the things I worry about. With the cage I mean that the humans have absolutely no freedom: From childhood, humans are obligated to do things they don't like: School, Work, Taxes, Laws, etc.
Sometimes, when I have this feeling that I'm put in a cage, this hunger for more freedom, I go for a walk. But even then, fright wire prevents me. Not only figurative, but also almost literally we're locked in a cage.

Also, I wonder why we do things we do. Why must I learn technology? I'll never will have to use it. The same counts for informatica: Why do I have to know things about Windows while I have a mac? Why do we learn so many tongues, and don't learn all people in all countries the same tongue, which is used most or is the simpliest?

As I said, people want to have a goal. Something that's usefull to others. But what does it matter? My levels, for exemple, will die someday. Warcraft will grow old, and the work and energy I put in the level will be wasted. There a few thing that resist the ravages of time. In fact, there are none in the long run. And even if it would, what would it matter? You're death by then.
No… Life really has absolutely no goal. Life is meant to enjoy from it. And how can you enjoy from this curse!?

Mind, stop exusing yourself ALL THE TIME. in almost every single one of your threads you first ask a question and then u say "oh, im sorry, it was a stupid question, im so stupid" and so on. you have the right to ask questions as everybody else. remember, complicated questions are easier to handle than complicated mistakes.

oh, and in your profile you have wroten: im stupid, aggresive, dumb and many more negative adjectives. you shouldnt be so judging on yourself. you must like yourself. everyone should be satisfied with themselves, unfortunatly this weard society has made these "models" of how a "normal" person should be like. its not weard why 10 year old girl have anorexia when all girls they see on tv, magazines and in advertising have these "perfect", thin bodies wiht big boobs. the weard thing is that it could be the other way around, if tv, radio and magazines had used overwieght people which doesnt look like the "ideal" today at all, from the beggining, that would probably be what a "normal person" should look like.

hmm, got a bit out of the topic. well thank god for wc3 anyway :D

I have a different theory. You seem rather left brained, from all your posts. English, culture, philosophy, etc.

My theory is, we've been put on this earth to "get it on".

Seriously. If no one did, we would'nt exist. So go get it on ppl! Yea.

Remember, its REAL easy to get the negative attention... thats why its almost natural to do it. But I promise ya - positive attention is sooo much better ;) Specially from women hee hee......

[edit]

Oh wow man, I got my member ship. Yayyyyyyyy......

Oh, that's not what I'm suggesting: The humans are a very usefull race in the long run: I'm sure that once, humans will terrasformate many planets and make them livable. (although they'll defile them afterwards)

What I mean is that the humans are their own worst enemies: (Addicted to Warcraft III as I am, I use this comparison) They are the Scourge, and their own only victims. We should have more freedom, but we also need knowledge and jobs etc in our society. Perhaps, in the far future, things will change. Perhaps then we will be able to make more machines or animal slaves work for us.

this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I changed the settings a bit.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Narrowed it to 7 days for the half-life and set views to 0 weight.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I dont think Trending would work for this forum it would be better to just have the last 5 posts from anywhere
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably will have to give it some time to update.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I'm guessing it is not retroactive.

One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs
  • Ghan Ghan:
    I've seen that as well.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
