Toy Battle Arena

As in the Christmas map idea , i am making a Toy Factory but , with some battle! (too boring without battle , this is WARcraft III)...

Story: Each Christmas, the engineering goblins gather for a meeting. The guild named The Engineering Master's leader comes and creates this meeting. His announcement, the same as every year, is that out of 8 goblins, only 4 may move into The Engineering Master guild. In this contest, you are a Goblin, and you must teamwork, and guard your 'Toy Monument' from the opposing team.

Teams: 4v4

Objective: Destroy the opposing team's toy monument!

Finishing date: non-acurrate: Until Christmas Eve (it is a small project...)

I've attt's pretty good, but, Who knows...

Cool, so you took the toy idea from that christmas project? Well sort of...

The terrain looks VERY bland... it looks like a sad attempt at a symetrical terrain. So do the toys that you make create a unit that attacks the other teams workshop? That would be cool!

Also , whats with you typing like this... I mean commas dont have spaces , like that! lol

I did not want the second part symetrical yet... And, i suggested a part of the toy factory idea and morxel said about the arena fight... The workshop sounds good but i think a 2v2 battle is good atm, but, i'll add the workshop in a later version. The thing is, i don't want the second part symetrical... Only those "arrow" or "triangles" or what they are with marble tile should be symetrical (and they're not...), the rest of the cliffs, walls, trees, doodads in the second half should not be symetrical. Oh, and also, did i exagerate with the doodads?
And sorry about spaces on commas (im not english)

It makes no sense to have fire on the cliffs... I dont really see where people get the idea to do that anyways loll

Thanks... The first one was really bad. I found out after testing it with a unit. The bunches of trees in the corners are hiding spots. A unit can pass behind those bunches to hide. Could be useful for a sneak attack on enemies that are attacking your Toy Monument

This is a great idea, sadly your terrain really takes away from the map (I'm not trying to offend you here don't take this badly). Basically, when I look at a map atleast, the first thing I really notice is the terrain. Depending on what the map is precisely, the terrain can really take away a lot or add a lot to the map itself.

In maps where the action is very fast-paced, such as that one solo TD that runs non-stop, you have to be thinking non-stop and there's no time to see terrain. But in a map like DotA where you don't do too much half the time you really notice whether the terrain looks good. I recommend working a bit more on your terrain, add some hills or something, some different tiles (all snow gets boring), that kind of thing.

Ok... I'll work some more on the terrain... Hills and other tiles. Might add some more doodies as well. I'm on it!

  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
