Track Model - Looking for feedback

Working on a Model of a track for a game on windows phone i am working on.

Looking For feedback.

Should wood be darker?
Should it not be wooden?
Should it be shaped differently?

(I want to get the poly count as low as possible)
(but 5x as much is likely ok)

This runs on a windows phone, so i trying to keep it simple as possible, and extreamly clear.

Color of the wood is up to you, as you could build a track with whatever color wood you wanted, but I would say to show that it has been used before and worn out over time, the track would be darker.

K check. darker colors or darker wood may make more sense due to it being worn a bit.

Roller Coaster Maker (For Windows Phone)


- Using XNA/Sliverlight (for win phone) with C#.
- Build a Roller Coaster in green grass field with some trees around it. with a basic sky.
- Ride your roller Coaster.
- As you play you get achivments unlocking new track peices you can use.

There is little purpose beyond that.

Builder mostly works. I need to do a few things i did in my war3 mod of roller coaster maker, to make it easier to do.

Rider Works. With Physics, needs minor adjustment with camera.

Rendering Engine needs work. I currently just made it so it only renders the things it looking at. That helps a ton. But am looking into instancing. due to my bottle neck is the cpu sending commands to the gpu. if i can figure out instancing i can have the cpu send 10 - 100x less commands to the gpu, the commands it does send will be a bit bigger.

Give me a day or two.
