How to get New Gen work again​

Tools Requierd:

Old World Editor
You need this old World Editor to make New Gen work again.

Jass New Gen Pack
You want this, I know you do.

NewGen should come from wc3campaigns, optionally the "official" thread here, not some unknown site that can't be trusted.

Get Started:

1) Download the Old World Editor since JASS New Gen Pack isn't compitable with the World Editor from version 1.22.
Notice: You can find the Old World Editor at the top of this thread.

2) Extract the .ZiP file and drag and drop the extracted file into your Warcraft III folder. (Ex. C:\Program Files\Warcraft III)

3) If it asks you to override, say "Yes".

4) Now Download the JASS New Gen Pack.
Notice: You can find the JASS New Gen Pack at the top of this thread.

5) Extract the .rar file and drag and drop the extracted files into your Warcraft III folder. (Ex. C:\Program Files\Warcraft III)

6) If it asks you to override, say "Yes", if not, ignore this Step.

7) You're done. To start New Gen simply double click the NewGen.exe. Happy Mapping

While screenshots are nice, there's absolutely no interest whatsoever in what's going on on your desktop...

I suppose it's helpful, could use a bit more detail, but overall it's good. I'll redirect various people here, so thats also a bonus.

I'm a bit busy now, but later I'll try and pick out any errors there may be, but I've scim-read it and I haven't glimsed any.

Note:- This comes in handy for people who still haven't done this, due to the fact that kc changed his sig.

Or get previous patch of WC3. I never patched it, I never had this problem :thup:! But I'm glad someone wrote this up.
