I have made a custom building with a doodad as the model, meaning that it has no birth animation. Is there any way i can make my building play a different building's birth animation without editing the model?

I think its under 1 of the buildings stats...i dont really know my friend does most of my unit stuff...

Maybe you can use a trigger, Animation - play [constructing structure] death animation (backwards )

Can't, sorry.

But, a structure, even if it appears instantly, won't be usable before its build time has actually passed.

Other than that, use a different building. One that does have that animation...

Can be hard if you want to use a tree, but theres a treant! If your using a rock theres a mountain giant! If your using a bush, then your screwed

How do u play the death animation backwards?

Another possibility, can i just make it start underground and slowly move up?

I have a new idea. When my building is created, i want it to instantly be hidden/removed/ and in its place have a custom unit i created with the same icon and build time, but a different model file be built. When this new unit finishes construction, i want it to b replaced with the original building with no birth animation. This trigger sounds easy, but its not. Please help

nvm i realized if i just have my worker build the unit with the birth animation, i can just replace it once it is built.
