Unit move problem.!

Hey

I have a problem with my unit when there is like 60 unit they group just out side my maze and go into the maze one and one.. why dose the creeps group so much i have change this one the unit to get them to move better


Pathing - collision size = 0
Movement - speed = 512
Movemeny - turn rate = 3

can you do somthing more the get them move better?

Hmmmm, I have also experienced the same problem.

I dont know the answer for certain, however, I reason that the cause for them to bunch could be conflicting orders, or too many orders at once, or the 'bumping' effect. Units tend prefer a simple instruction that they can then follow.

I also seem to recall that SD_Ryoko mentioned something about minimum collision size. And its not 0. I think zero does some weird things.

Search the forums for stuck units or something, its a common problem i think

Try using the trigger "Unit - Turn Off collision for Unit".

Instead of doing 'Create 12 <Footmen> at <SpawnStart>' and in another trigger 'Pick every unit in <Units in SpawnStart> and do - Order <Picked unit> to right click-to <EndPoint>'. Try using:

For Each Integer <1-12> do -
- Unit <Create 1 footman at <SpawnStart>'
- Unit <Order <Last Created Unit> to Right-Click to <EndPoint>
- Wait .05 seconds

The reason they group is because when you play normal melee, theres that 'Toggle group movement' that makes them go the same speed and stop every now and then to regroup, with such large groups they do it more often. So ordering each one itself should work better (In theory)
