Unit move sliding trigger

Trigger:
  • Custom script: call SetUnitX(udg_unit,udg_X)
    • Custom script: call SetUnitY(udg_unit,udg_Y)


Im currently using this trigger to move my unit rather than
Trigger:
  • Unit - Move unit instantly to Temp_Loc_2


This is because it allows me to cast spells while sliding and also doesn't break channeling spells.
However the model doesn't move. The shadow on the ground and the variable detects the unit as being moved but the model just stays in the same place. This doesn't happen when I use the Move unit instantly to... however I need to be able to cast spells and not cancel channeling abilities when I do this.

The model doesnt move for units that cant move (that is, buildings or immovable units like wards). I would guess this has to do with the wc3 engine trying to improve performance by ignoring position changes when they should be impossible.
There is no way around this as far as I know. If you want your unit to be able to be moved you have to make the unit itself able to move.
