unit respawn

on my map when a unit dies they respawn at their starting location or somewhere near that when they die but, i can't find out how to make them respawn there with their same items so its like the same person can u help me? and i also wanted to make a regular unit a hero with that icon in the top left cornor but i can't get the icon there how i do that?
 
Create a new hero, and switch the model file, leave the interface icon alone. there u go
 
how i do that in the middle of the game tho after the guy dies i don't really get what u mean and i wanted to make them have the same items but i don't know
 
dude i still need help, i need to make it so the same unit respwans with the same items and exp and everything in the middle of the game how i do that?
 
THAT, I cant help you on. I dont know very much about variables n such, thats darg's and SD_Ryoko's specialty, (i think) :) ask them, they know.

how good are you with variables? you can store all the hero's items in item-type variables and give those items to the respawned hero.
 
dude i suck with variables but Du here can help me i have tried to do a variable for that before but i couldn't
 
I'm still workin on my "variable skillz" :) I'll let u in on my latest level. It's a team TD. The terrain is complete. Regions are complete. 3 Different tower builders, over 30 towers, one trigger, the initialization *custom init*.. Ummm more tower builders to come, more towers, and theres gonna b 50 levels. Heres the basic design of it:

-3 Teams of 3
-Defend The bottom of your side, defeating 50 levels of creeps
-25 Lives
-If one team loses their lives, that team is defeated.
-Last team standing wins

It dont look that good.. but its a team TD, normally TD's are all symmetrical, check mine out.. SYMMETRY!! (or w/e) Go me!

lol dude did u fix my map i sure fixed urs here u go if u fixed mine post it here and i have my last realesed map here in the beta testing thread which is the first one so look at that but heres ur map

did u get ur map? u just give me the tower defense and i can look at it there
 
BTW, i tried 2 fix ur map, but I couldnt do it.. but something i did do, was add something u should have had in the first place: When u clicked sword u made it so u were a UNIT. I made a bow and u turn into an archer hero. idk if you'll like it, but i added a few more triggers too.. they didnt work... the deeds man, fix those into ITEMS, not UNITS. :P

i don't need a bow o well i want it to modern i m making tons more of guns and stuff only an axe and sword r gonna be old
 
You said old? Then why are there shotguns and machine guns? LOL!!!!! ;) Watch your specificness... :P

    And we JUST got a new warcraft 3 campaign after 20 years! Bummer lol. Thanks for building and maintaining such an awesome community over the years TheHelper! Forums like these are definitely a relic of their time, and in its heyday it really was the place to be in its niche. Hopefully the discord community stays active!

    and i dont think I am going to close the site it is just likely to change drastically but I am working on something for the interim still fleshing it out. Most of the forums are going to be gone though and the NUON site and Warcraft sites will probably to to different hosts. I might keep the news forum though :)

    I'm going on a backpacking trip pretty soon. I've been trying to do it for a few years now and it just couldn't happen. I'll be by myself, and I think it'll be really good for me. My pack is already too heavy so I can't bring alcohol, and that might be a benefit to me. Like had that probation and couldn't drink, but it's a bit different when you can't do something voluntarily versus threat of literal imprisonment
