What I didn't know before, was that the android.opengl.Matrix class has a substantial warning when it comes to multiplying two matrices.
It said that when multiplying, I'm not suppose to use the same matrix for the input and the output.
That's the real culprit in OpenGL ES 2.0, which had thrown me off-course over the last 2 years of my programming days.
