User CP Rep Boxes

I mean the list where you can see who has repped you and there are the green boxes..

Would it be possible to make it like you could see how much rep that user has given to you..?

Read my post more carefully.. And just for you to know there are users who give more than 1 rep lol...

TH could change the db table add how much rep the user has given you, but then the rep you have gotten before the mod won't tell you how much you were given then.

1) It's rep. Why do you care?

2) If you do care (which you shouldn't) the only real way is to either ask an Admin/Mod (if Mods can even see it, I don't remember) OR keep track of your rep.

Aside from that, you can also look at the person who's repped you. If they have under 100, they give you 1. If they have 100-199, I believe they give you 2. And so on and so forth.

3) It's rep. Why do you care?

It ranks you. If you have a lot of rep you get better bonuses like a custom title. You may even become a mod if you have enough rep or experience.

well i know what it is, but what i'm saying is does it really matter? I don't see the point of it... maybe its because i have no plans to become a mod... but it would be nice to have that custom title... but i'll live without it

I think every green box depends on the rep they give you..I have 3 so I give +3 rep

So it's really cool if you get a guy with a lot of bars to +rep you.

That does make a lot of sense. Usually rep here means that you helped someone out. So the more you help someone out you get more rep. So if you have a lot of rep and you ask someone for help and they answer the call. Then you helped a person who helped a lot of people out.

You give +1, just for signing up. So people with a gray bar give +1. 1 Green bar = +2. Trust me.

Just kidding.

So if Seth +rep someone he would give 12? And I always wondered how come some of the boxes are a lighter shade of green?

Seth gives 10 like all the other admin, I think 10 is max except for conan who gives 12 I believe. And they get lighter because thats the way vBulletin programmed it. :D

Admins are set to give +10 or -10.

Other people give half the -rep than they give +rep. If you give +4, you only take -2.

The boxes are customable. TH has it set that way. We do the same thing at GH.com, with our Post Count Skulls... They invert color after a certain rank.

ONLY Admins have set rep. Anyone else who obtains enough rep can give more than 10, but if they ever get so much they take more than 10, I would imagine we'd change it. We're not gonna have someone else punish people for us o_O

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
