Coke Zero has been banned in Venezuela because of possible health risks.

The government, led by Hugo Chavez, ordered the removal of the soft drink from stores while its ingredients are investigated.

Health minister Jesus Mantilla said: "The product should be withdrawn from circulation to preserve the health of Venezuelans."

He did not specify which ingredients were causing concern or what health risks they posed.

Coca Cola and its Mexican-based bottling company, Femsa, said in a joint statement: "Coca Cola Zero is made under the highest quality standards around the world and meets the sanitary requirements demanded by the laws of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela."

Coke Zero tastes horribly, and it's probably cancerous. No sugar, but with added artificial sweeteners :/

it uses Sucralose, the least researched of the artificial sweeteners - atleast its not Aspartame though, which metabolizes into toxic by products

in anycase, there is no scietific evidence to suggest Sucralose is bad, Venz. are just a bunch of jumpy tards

It has some different ingredients in South America, ones that are banned in the US.

I'm surprised he doesn't ban all evil imperialist American Coke products but then his people would revolt :)

And Coke Zero tastes great. It has like no calories or sugar so you can drink as much as you want without any concerns.

water can be an acid too, you know

in anycase, thats only an issue if you drink coke exsesively

its just like when peru stop chlorinating their water, they thought it would pose a health issue, except this issue doesnt kill people >.>

    I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
