feel free to vent frustrations here!

isn't it annoying trying to get 70 some odd rects into a variable array manually?
Set Coastal_Areas[0] = Coastal Region 000 <gen>
Set Coastal_Areas[1] = Coastal Region 001 <gen>
...
Set Coastal_Areas[70] = Coastal Region 070 <gen>

omg...
 
...Why don't you just copy and paste the action, and then go change it all? It's not a LOT better or easier, but it saves a bit of time. Instead of finding all the parts again, you just click until you get to the part you want to change, click to change it, and you're done.

That's how I've always done triggers like that. Works fine :)
 
70 may sound like a lot, but, how long does that take? 5 minutes?
How much is that compared to the total time you're working on a map?

The end justifies the means (when it comes to getting something "cool" into a map).

You could always just "have a break" every 10 or so regions.
Like, put a tree. That's relaxing. :)

I finished that, but that was just to determine coastal regions. still got mountain , desert, city, burning city, temple, forrest, and snow regions to put into arrays. sooooooooo boring

some parts of RPG making r just annoying

sorry bout all the posts, there's just nobody online and I think I'm going nuts trying to find someone to talk to
 
did u say that u could change tilesets in regions? probly possible, but ive never found out how to do it... like making snow, and stuf like a city on the same map... dont no how. do u use a trigger?

1 mor thing, why is my litle bar thing red, and urs is green? :confused: :confused: :confused:
 
Advanced -> Modify Tilesets

and I think the bar has to do with how many times we've posted
 
There are tutorials for triggers.

And a side note: The bars are for reputation. Red is negative rep, green is positive rep. Other members can choose to negative (that's bad) or positive (that's good) rep you, according to how you post. Breaking the rules warrants negative rep, while helping someone is rewarded with positive rep.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
