Video mode questions...

Ok, after spending 3 hours trying to get this game to run...(GRRR - AllowAllRefrshRates from 0 to 1 causing problems...doh!) Now I have FINALLY gained access to this game.

However, there is one problem that is still bugging me to death...

I can't get any resolutions OVER 800x600 - Yuck.

I am wanting access to 1280 x 1024

Any ideas?

All drivers, Win2kPro, Vid, Sound, Mobo - all up to date.

Specs...cause I forgot to add them...:

Win2kPro - Service pak 3
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
AMD XP2400
512 Megs (2 x 256) PC3500 ram
Maxtor 40Gig ATA 133 HDD
Dell 1800FP (WITH drivers installed!)
M$ optical USB 3.0a mouse
 
GForce 4 Ti4600
Dell 1800FP Ultrasharp Flatpanel...with the drivers installed.

I got more resolutions, not sure how, just messing around with windows, but still not all the resolutions that I need...oh well, its playable...

check this line in the videodefault.com file:
renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1
change the 0 to a 1 as it appears above and you will get all the vid modes.
te videodefault.com file is in \Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings directory
 
Having the same problem .

the showall trick described above only made available refreshrates in addittion. no extra resolutions.

I have a radeon9500 vid card, Win XP , and a lcd display.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
