Okay, now I need some advice myself. I don't know how many people here know about flat screens, but here goes.
I'm shopping for a Viewsonic LCD screen. My requirements are as follows.
-17" Screen
-16ms or 20ms response time
-Black
-Prefereably no speakers (negotiable)
-Perfereably external power supply
-Analog Input (or both analog and digital)
OK, so heres the deal.
if the VE series is the economy model, why is the VE700 response time an amazing 16ms? They are advertising the graphic (gamer) models as the performance punchers, but the VG only has a response of 20. They clearly brag on the website 62.5 fps at 16ms.
The VG series has speakers. Which always suck. And I don't need them. But I want a PERFORMANCE monitor.
Do you think the VE700 would be the best bet? It has everything the graphics series does, except speakers, and its faster.
What gives? How can the VE be the economy model, and be cheaper, when its BETTER? Viewsonic didn't answer that question, they just sent me this pdf. All the LCD's score good reviews, and no website really enlightens on my questions.
Please have a look at this PDF. I really don't want to make a mistake on this, as it will cost $400-$500.

Oh... to save time... I'm comparing the VE700, VE710, and the VG700, VG710 models.
