JASS:
struct SomeStr

    static method create takes nothing returns SomeStr
    local SomeStr ss = SomeStr.allocate()
    local boolean b = GetRandomInt(0,10) <=1

    if b then
        call ss.destroy()
    return 0
    endif
    return ss
    endmethod

endstruct

function Act takes nothing returns nothing
local SomeStr ss = SomeStr.create()
endfunction

What will happen? Will it work?
Will it work properly? I tested it on NewGen and no syntax appear.

Note** : This isn't the code I wanted to, it just a modified example of my code.

It will work, but why would you want to do this?
local SomeStr ss = SomeStr.create()
would produce the same as
local SomeStr ss = 0
Anyway.

it looks like you want to create a struct, do actions and then destroy it directly. is it right`?

Oh my, people, I knew this would happen, so I stated that that is a modified of my code, not really what I wanna do.

I'll edit my post, take a look again.

It will not syntax because it is valid code. It will work, but "Will it work?" is not a good problem description, cause only you know how you want it to work.

I am not sure what you are looking for. It won't leak if that's what you are asking for. It is perfectly ok to destroy a struct within the create method.

The problem is, will it leak a struct index?

No, it won't

The following example will also not leak a struct index.
JASS:
function Act takes nothing returns nothing
local SomeStr ss = 5
endfunction
All you are doing is setting the integer SomeStr (cause all struct types are integer pointers) to 5. All members in a struct are actually global arrays. When using ss, you can think of it like accessing the 5th index of those global arrays.

JASS:
local SomeStr ss = 5
leaks as much as
JASS:
local integer ii = 5

Thanks builder, I know it don't leak now, thanks!

@Magentix
Thanks for you effort too, but what I wanted wasn't as simple as you written.
A lot condition were checked in the create method and quite much variable is required.

>>how that dosn' t syntax is mystery to me.
Come on, you wrote the wrong thing.

>>It does. "Cannot convert integer to boolean".
LoL, you did really tested it?

>>But Gals wrote
JASS:
local boolean b = GetRandomInt(0,10) <=1

which is a comparison

True.

>>That usually still syntaxes unless you put parentheses around it.
Parentheses? Oh, you mean the bracket? No, you don't need for it.
Did you tried it? Don't nonsensely say something that has no prove.

Nope. That's just what it says when you're trying to convert integer to boolean. Simple, eh?

With the b variable as a work-around it might work, but I'm pretty sure it syntaxes when calling it directly:

JASS:
if GetRandomInt(0,10) <=1 then
    // Syntaxes
endif

if (GetRandomInt(0,10) <=1) then
    // Works
endif

And yeah, it's brackets...
I'm shit when it comes to naming punctuation symbols in English (Not my native tongue...)

False.

Prove:
Just simple question, is below 2 code works the same way?

JASS:
local boolean b = (GetRandomInt(0,100)) <= (10)

JASS:
local boolean b

if (GetRandomInt(0,100)) <= (10) then
    set b = true
else
    set b = false
endif

Edit -
>>but I'm pretty sure it syntaxes when calling it directly
You sure? Then what about my example above? It is proved in WE it works and I did not bracket up the whole thing but just each side.

What are you talking about Gals? Just stop this offtopic already, you cannot convert an integer to a boolean. Dunno if you use some B2I or I2B conversion functions.

JASS:
local boolean b = (GetRandomInt(0,100)) <= (10)

Is a boolean, not an integer.

Well, I don't really get what you guys talking about, or what you guys spamming in my thread.

From what I know, you guys was just saying my code has syntax, right?
I proved it, no.

>>Is a boolean, not an integer.
It is a integer comparison which will return a boolean.

    How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
    The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
    I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
    Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
    Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
    And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
    These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
    Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
    Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
    Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
    That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
    I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
    I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

    I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
    It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
