Windows Problem..

Hi..
I have windows 98 portuguese (brazilian) and I want to read and right korean characters on battle.net.. Can u help me?

You want to write in korean ? May I suggest a korean keyboard ?
I've never seen one in my neck of the woods but maybe you have.

I've also thought of this :

Click on Start Menu , Settings, Control Panel , Regional Settings.

Set it to korean.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas for now.

Note : Do not lose your patience saying you want to write in Starcraft. I'm not the perfect tech support guy. I'm doing this on my time for free, so be grateful your getting this great tech support for free. Your problem is rather unique, maybe someone else will have a better solution than me. Remember, I'm doing you a favor. Not my job.

Click "Post Reply" rather than "New Thread".
 
For displaying Korean Characters, try the Font Utility . It works for all Battle.net supported games except Diablo II / LOD. Ask if you have any problems changing your font. I believe that program requires Visual Basic Runtime files.

If you cannot run this utility, you can always do some registry editing. You can ask me how if you need to.
 
The korean character set is based on 65535 values instead of the 256 used in american computers. (Because there are so many characters needed) Have you ever noticed how anything said by a korean on b.net has an even amount of characters? This is because each of their symbols requires two of ours, and this is how the game interprets it.
As such it is impossible to read and write korean without a korean computer.

    I recently had an experience with a waiter that really brought down @Varine's point about them being in sales. The first waiter just asked "anything else? deserts?" and when the table shook their head said "ok" and left. Then the other waiter came in and started going off describing the deserts and you could see the heads turning, and they finally got a bunch of deserts
