Beginning Monday evening, January 7th, individuals residing in the United States or Canada will have the opportunity to register for their chance to be one of 5,000 players chosen to play-test Warcraft III®: Reign of Chaos™. These players will be the first to experience the new Real-Time Strategy Game from Blizzard. The beta signup is scheduled for a 24-hour period on www.blizzard.com, beginning on Monday, January 7th at 11:00 p.m Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8). and ending on Tuesday, January 8th at 11:00 p.m Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8). Following the registration period, we will randomly select 5,000 testers based on a variety of system configurations and locations. Please note that multiple submissions will result in disqualification.

The beta, which will be playable only over Battle.net, will give selected testers a chance to play all four races -- Humans, Orcs, Night Elves and Undead. Each race is armed with unique units, magical abilities, and impressive weapons designed to aid them in combat as they renew their struggle for dominance. staff response . we have absolutly no influence on the beta selections of WC3.
we are aware we sorta monitored by Blizzard Entertainment but it does not happen much .
The former MVP's willbe in the program (unless there bin a change in that)
For the rest just hope and pray .
Yes it wouldbe nice if the regs around here would get beta.
However i am not requesting beta's from blizzard for the regs here . Neither am i going to contact Blizzard for a beta for myself .
Blizzard gave me 4 tickets for the E3 this year i am gratefull for that . I owe Bill Roper for that . Tho i must admitt i had a great time in LA Blizzard did not gain shit from us . We provide tech support like we bin doing for 5 years now .
We are not (i better not put that website here) we do not suck up . we do not mail blizzard every month . we do not do interviews .
We are TheHelper.net . we solve customers problems for Blizzard Entertainment . we do not ask money . we just solve stuff and we answer stuff for we are people who help out .
Maybe the helper could send out an email to them to include the regs here for a beta .
but blizzard is blizzard don't hope to much .

we help blizzard out in a way they cannot .
i like the regs here . a wc3 beta wouldbe nice .. but speaking for myself i am not that intrested :)
wouldbe nice to play the beta and encounter the bugs and try to solve it .
i played d2 for 3 weeks but i can still give tech support on d2 :)
and i will give tech support on wc3 beta or not .
my goal when it comes to blizzard entertainment is not getting into beta's
my goal is to answer/solve the problems on their products .
i do the same for avp2 i have more ties with blizzard then monolith hehehe help ppl out simple :)
keep it up .
 
That's a great idea Wargasm ! Maybe all the regulars here will get a beta ! Sounds like a D-R-E-A-M ! I will hope anyways, it is Christmas. It's the right season to hope !
 
just was mentioning that there was gonna be a beta sign up for anyone who wanted to sign up for it... didnt mean to come across as a Rep or anything just wanted to post some FYI :P


PS I got about 40 more sticks of assorted EDO Ram.. not sure of the size if ya still need it wargy

I sent an Email today to Blizzard inquiring if the former MVP's will be automatically included in this beta or not. I will update with their reply when I get it. Here was my message to Blizzard.

"Just wondering, per Blizzards announcement that on Monday, January 7th at 11:00 p.m Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8). and ending on Tuesday, January 8th at 11:00 p.m Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8) people will be able to register for their chance to be one of 5,000 players chosen to play-test Warcraft III®: Reign of Chaos.

Will the former MVP's be included on this beta, or shall I just enter the registration lottery like everyone else.

Maybe they could do some group beta, where they give a website (like the group) several licenses, and then either send out the CDs to selected people, or make it available for download.
Only problem with this is it could lead to mass piracy.

Either way, I'm definately entering the WC3 beta signup, hoping to get lucky like I did with LOD.
 
The information is sign up on that day, and hope for the best


They do a separate draw for more slots (I think) for members of the fansite program. Is Thehelper.net part of the program?
 
err no we are not part of that program coz i happen to think it is to restrictive ie i don't stick with the program :)

but let send out an email anyways have a little suggestion to the blizz ppl anyways something they might gain from .
better not hold your breath tho

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
