Greetings,
I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook 1800/1805 Series running Windows 2000 professional.
I have installed the original Warcraft: Orcs & Humans on this system. However, I have not been able to configure the game for sound.
The sound-card is integrated into the motherboard. The Device Manager identifies this as "ALI Audio Accelerator WDM Driver".
The IRQ is 11 and the DMA is 4.
Blizzard Support says DOS applications will only be able to recognize sound cards on IRQ 2 through 7.
I'm not sure how to proceed.
I beleive that the Warcraft 'Setup program' won't recognize my manual settings because the IRQ is at 11.
I don't want to make a configuration change that might screw up my system.
I've only been working with Win2000 for a few months and I'm still learning where everything is.
Any help would be appreciated.
Much thanks in advance.
