WC3 B.net perdicament

Well, I have a proplem that im quite stumpted upon.

Im going to try myself to fix it, but in the mean while can you experts just give me some advise or to those who have this problem and fixed it, please tell me how to do so too! thank you.

here is the problem:

When I try to connect to battle.net it gives me this error message

"Unable to validate game version. Please reconnect to battle.net or apply the corrent game patch manually"

Hmmmm sounded simple! so I went to blizzard, and downloaded the 1.02 patch, and still the same error message comes up!

Im stumped! please help.....thx

Re-Install completly...make sure to delete WC3 folder completly.

...use the above link to install patch manually BEFORE you log onto battlenet.

Also if you are using any kind of program or crack to play without
the CD you will need to get rid of that.

Thanks x blade x for you attempt to help, but my quest is not so simple. Let me explain.

I am running a war3.exe crack, because I did not buy the actual game, I burned it off the internet. Mind you, I still have every other feature fully operationtionl.

The war3.exe crack runs the game from the hard disk, opposed to running it from the original manufatures copy of the cd (in which I do not have).

I did try many updates from blizzard, I even went in sequence from 1.01 -> 1.02. But it seems as though as soon as I replace the original war3.exe file thing just get all screwed up. Im sure there is a way to connect to battle.net using the crack and another method, maybe ANOTHER crack ontop of the war3.exe crack.

Anyone with more information or tips, please respond.

yep you can't get on b.net with the cracked version-- even if you solve your current problem, you still don't have a valid CD key (the generated one you are using won't work for b.net even though you installed the game ok with it)

As people have mentioned you should buy the game!!!!!!!!!!!
