WC3 cannot play battlenet

i got this strange problem here i bought wc3 not long ago and wanted to play battlenet with my friends .
step1: i clicked us west realm then battlenet
step2: downloading
step3: when it completes it asks me to restart wc3
step4: when i press the restart button it says got error when upgrading
so how can help me??

ive browsed through the forum it says delete bncache if i not wrong it is a dat file
i tried to delete but still would not work

no the way you suggested i tried before.....
ive found the solution for my problem i would like to share with all
step1: delete everything including the wc3 folder n reinstall again
step2:choose a realm n click battlenet after download it will show got problems for getting upgraded.
step3:close wc3 game go to wc3 folder find BNUpdate.exe double click it n it will install the patch for you
n u can play battlenet now
