WC3 ROC Will Not Install

When i open the installer (Downloaded version OR Actual CD) The installer INSTANTLY closes itself. It will not even stay open for more than a second, at times i can barely even see it open and close.. it literally opens and closes so fast that its just a flash on my screen...

I have tried running in safe mode, I have tried running as admin, i have ran it in compatibility mode..

I am on windows XP 32 bit
Pentium D 2.66ghz x 2
4gigs of ram
Nvidia Geforce 8600 512 mb
I have 127 gigs of free hardrive space..

I have ran a virus scan with norton (which is uninstalled now), kaspersky, spybot S & D, and Malware bytes (which is also uninstalled now)

no clue as far as what the actual cause could be, but a work-around is to install it elsewhere and then just copy it over, it works up until you need an update, where you would need to update it on another computer and then copy it over again

viruses not an issue in such cases.

check event log (administrative tools), if there is any error, it will be logged by windows.

this including disabled services and\or missing files.
