what happend to mass attack?

what ever happend to them fun little games were u get 1 unite per X seconds then u can Mass attack anyone u waont by simply stepping on a becon those were always interesting in starcraft, so WHAT HAPPEND TO THEM?, thats one thing i miss from starcraft there original ideas and maps i like warcraft its fine and all but starcraft maps were so much funner and more interesting (im talking bout the online ones)

mass attacks seem pretty basic its just a bunch of creat units triggers, and when unit a entere region move all units in region 2 to region 3 pr whatever
