Ok...im mystified as to why it says my map is to large to play...what can i delete from it that will trim it down without damaging the whole process...please help? :banghead:
If you have a cutom loading screen and you don't have 700kb left make it 75%quality after saving it on wc3 image extracter to downsize it to like 100kb or 200kb
Actually on this topic i was wondering. You say bnet max filesize is 4mb - what about when hosting a lan map? Im pretty sure i was limited before but this was quite a few patches ago, has anything changed?
Well, b.net doesn't like people using files larger then 4.1mb for some reason obviously because its a damn huge file... I can't say any more then that...
It has to do with bandwidth as well as security...
As for running games on Lan larger than 4 mb, the lan engine is the same as when your on Bnet. Its the multiplayer aspect of WC3 so no , anything over 4.1 will not work.
think about it, do you think their server would survive if there were like 3 100MB maps going at the same time with lots of 4-10 MB maps as well? i dont think so... to downsize your map, use W3 strings and dont have tons of icons/music and stuff that are imported, no one really cares that much
Any map above like 2.5mb takes way, way too long to download in my opinion. It ruins the map and whatever takes up that much space 99% of the time isn't worth it if it makes the map that big.
Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.
Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
