        Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the overhead of (Triggering unit) using Abilities\Spells\Other\TalkToMe\TalkToMe.mdl

Why the special effect won't come out?

Try using (Casting Unit) instead of (Triggering Unit).

Another usual suspect would be "starts the effect of" instead of "begins casting".

And, use "code" tags, not "php code".

MUCH easier way todo this, all you need to do is create a custom buff, change the art to something you like, then set attachment point 1 to overhead or head, whatever you like.

i seriously dont know y people use triggers instead of perfectlysimple buffs. its insane, using a buff is MUCH EASIER.

just set the value:buff to yourcusto buff, BAM! your done, and you have the art u like.

if you dont want the effect to last, just disappear a seconds after you cast the move, easier still.

theres alittle field called: caster art: change this to whatever ability/buff/spawned effect/etc and youre done. triggers should only be used to create an instant effect that repeats itself over and over, like using warstomp.

I know your ideas were better, but my action was just a sample. I just need the trigger to work. Then I will replace another action that can't create by the ability.

But isn't it you that aways say things like "Remove the Stunned buff from Firebolt and BAM!"

But it's a good idea.

it should work???, are u telling us it does not in fact work. Try telling us what dosent work??. I mean it could be something weird, but the trigger does look right?

The action just can't work, because the defend ability were special.

Indeed, "defend" might not be an actual "spell"...

You may want to give "order"s a try:

Events
    Unit - A unit Is issued an order with no target
Conditions
    (Issued order) Equal to (Order(defend))
Actions

The order is "defend" to turn it on, and "undefend" for turn off.

Yes it work, thanks a lot.

Spell == Ability. But for the toggleables, the Begins/Starts/Channels/Finishes events doesn't work. You'll have to use order events, and chech either the unittype or if the ordered unit has the ability.
