Slightly more than 4 episodes for me, but we both reached the same opinion of it pretty early on.

I too disliked the 2-3 'brainfuck' episodes. Though the rest of the anime was great.

I haven't watched that much anime compared to some people here, but here is my full anime list (of all those I have ever watched from start to finish):

1. Blood+
2. Elfen Lied
3. Hellsing (Both the OVA/Ultimate)
4. Devil May Cry
5. Afro Samurai
6. Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei

I would include Death Note, but I've only watched up until episode 22 or something.
Call me a blasphemer but I actually didn't enjoy Bleach. meh.

Really? The first one got me intrigued with it's dark mood and the suspense it kept in some parts. The combat scene was a bit shallow, but I thought the part where Shiki jumped off the building and landed on the other one leaving water splashing in her wake the single most visually impressive thing for that movie.
I liked them all xD, I thought 5 was a bit confusing though, since it jumped scene to scene without warning.
Anyways, Kara no Kyoukai made my top 5 anime list lol, WATCH IT PPL!

Pretty sweet anime movie, though the fifth one was very very confusing.

FLCL (One of the strangest animes ever, But so good xD)
Highschool DxD (contains Ecchi be warned, although I'd be much happier if it didn't.. the story is by far one of my favorites right under Mirai Nikki)
