For some reason, i do not lag when i play with other people, but once the other person on my other computer comes into the game it creates massive lag.., i am using a router/switch with same ip addy and.. (btw this is starcraft/broodwar we are talking about) if u guys can help show me on how to reduce lag it would be helpful
 
um... this is a tough one for me, for all i know is that since many people is playing from your computer, your computer acts like a server, thus the bandwidth is shared, i think it has something to do with your connection, hey can we get a little help over here? nonamerequired? swilo? rapmaster? t'kron? any one?
 
Since you're on the same IP, the server gets confused as to where to send data packets and it messes up on your proxy (router/switch).

My suggestion, get another IP address if you really want to play with each other on Battle.net with SC/BW. Same IP addresses playing together are not supported in the client/host model.
 
i have the same problem except it always lags no matter what, i just believe that routers are no good for playing sc/bw
