Why does this SUPER simple trigger not work?

I think it might be because "Unit Selection - Any Unit is Highlighted by Player Any Player" got no triggering unit. Just a triggering player. Check if there's some event response like: "Selected unit".

There's also a unit group function that returns the unit group of units selected by a player. You could try that as well.

triggering unit is probably not a valid function for - Unit is highlighted

if you're getting red text when you test this trigger in game, thats the cause


if it simply does nothing, it could be related to the "unit is highlighted" part. for that, im talking about the editor's definition of "highlighted", is it selected/group selected/editor function?

Highlighted means when you move your mouse over it (afaik). I believe (but am not 100% sure ) that you have to clear the flag "cannot be highlighted" in the unit flags for that to work.
