I installed Windows 2000 on my desktop a while ago, and since it has started freezing for about 3-5 seconds at a time at random intervals. the intervals increas dramatically when the D-Link wireless lan card is insterted. The system specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon Tbird @ 1200mhz
512mb DDR
GeForce 2 Ultra 64mb
I tried taking the wireless card out, and this made the freezing less frequent, bringing it down to a useble level of annoyance. with the card in, it freezes at intervals of about every 10 seconds, in some cases even less.
what the hell is going on? that would be a wonderful thing to know. If anyone has any ideas, please respond!
