What the title says.

Cable connection works. However, when I go to my university, absolutely no wi-fi networks show up in the menu in the bottom right.

The drivers for the wi-fi dont need updating. I did install a program from the university which was required, I was told, to connect to the student wi-fi, and intially it was ok, but one morning I could not find any wi-fi at all.

Thanks in advance

What version of windows? does the network adapter show up in the network settings page?

what do you get when running "netsh wlan show driver" in the cmd?

what exactly did the program to connect to wifi do (this seems absurdly unnecessary)

what are the details of the network that you are trying to connect to (wifi type (i.e. g, n, AC), security (i.e. WPA2?))?

do other networks showup if you go elsewhere? (i.e. can you see a starbucks wifi if you go to starbucks?)

Restart the adapter.
Happened to me pretty often.

Right click Computer > Manage > Device manager > Right click your wireless adapter > Disable > And enable again.

Works for my case.

I solved it through windows troubleshooter, but yes, I had somehow turned off the adapter, thanks for the posts :D
