Windows stupidity and my smoked drive

My D: drive fired 2 weeks ago, and I wasn't able to properly uninstall the programs off of it, so windows still thinks they're there. How would I remove them from the list when you choose Add/Remove programs from the control panel? I already took out all the registry entries the games and software put in there. Formatting is NOT an option.

do you have tweak UI? its on the Windows CD somewhere (under power tools I think)

it can do this for you (and some other cool stuff)

you can also edit it manually out of the registry but I can't remember the location
if you do a search in regedit for one of the program's names you should find it eventually

Compaq didn't give a windows CD, only some quick restore thing that wants to format drive. I was told of a program called reg clean by rev over at OTS, know where I can get it?

Used it.
It cleared out a bunch of stuff I never knew was in there, but there were still soem things listed in add/remove that wouldn't leave by clicking remove. Luckily Sniper over at OTS knew the key and I did that part manually. All done.

If you took out all the registry entries, then windows wouldn't know they were there, unless you missed some things.
