Windwalk Ability editing

Hello, I'm new to WC3 editing and I've been searching the forums of various websites looking for tips and information about the World Editor. Anyway, I managed to create an Item that when used once, gives the hero the ability of Windwalk for 20 seconds. Everything is great except one thing... I don't want him invisible. I took out the backstab bonus and I even increased his movment speed but I failed to see an option or anything pointing to his invisibility..

Can anyone help me?

Try this

Try basing the ability on unholy aura. If you don't want it as a hero ability uncheck the "is hero ability" box in the object editor and check the "is item ability" box.

Make an item and give the ability, it should work.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but as soon as I picked up the item the aura started. In fact I couldn't even click on the item. Besides that its great Do you have any idea on how to correct this?

Also, do you happen to know why I can't seem to edit the invisibilty on Windwalker?

The invis is embedded in the Windwalk buff,

As for correcting your issue, change "Activley Used" to True, that should make it so that you have to click on it.

Thank you for your reply. My activley used was already set to active however and it still doesn't work as intended. I can't think of any item in WC3 or FT that has a clickable aura. Maybe you can't do it?

Is there anyway to make complety new abilities from scratch or is that... impossible?

Try using taunt as the base ability.

dont know how old this thread is but...
to remove the invisibility part, chech the buffs part and remove the 'wind walk' buff

Thank you both for your suggestions. I tried changing the buff to something else. I used heal, just for fun. Anyway, he still went invisible when i activated the item.

lordloki, I am curious, why would I use taunt as the base ability? It doesn't offer increase running speed which is what I'm going after.

edit the bloodlust ability, make it an item ability and give it to the item.

Thank you for your reply. I did as you suggested and edited the blood lust ability but when I go to click on the item itself it does nothing. I don't think it's the item itself because I changed the ability to heal afterwards and it worked just fine.

Any other ideas?

If anyone is intrested I seem to have solved the problem. I made a trigger where when my avatar used the item, it would increase his running speed by so much and then wait and then it would restore defaults..
