World Editor keeps freezing....

My world editor always freezes when it finishes loading progress right at start, on the default map. Because of this I cant even open the program (It use to work but I changed computer and had to reinstall it). Do you know a way for me fixing it without me having to reinstall Warcraft and expansion again?
(Just incase I have all the updates for Warcraft)
 
so your trying to just open world editor?....and not another map?..

if your trying to open up another map then it's probaly protected, but if your just trying to open up the program then idk....wat's ur system specs?
 
Just trying to open it. I haven’t been able to get threw the Default map.
It freezes right after it shows you the Frozen Throne Logo then it loads up the Progress bar and once its done it just freezes.

4 Gb of Ram
256 Mb G-force Video Card
3.2 Ghz Pentium 4 processor
180 Gb of hardrive space(there separated into 3 drives)
 
Default map as in the starting map? Sounds like a problem... By that you mean the map it AUTOMATICALLY loads when you START world editor? If that is try moving the map to a different folder, opening (Should give an error) then go to file > preferences > load map on startup... Think thats what it is not sure
 
Where do I do that change...like I said I can’t do anything with the program, it just screws up before I even see the map and just stays at the progress bar.
And I know that progress bar is for the default map.
 
Explain what happens, does it let you open the editor and choose to load it? Or does it auto-load...
 
I wish I could just take a snap shot of it then you could see. Anyways for you to understand, just open up your World Editor. The first progress bar that you see, that first one is the one that freezes.
 
ya, like do you get an error message?...and also...do you have everything installed in the default directory?...and have you ever moved anything/delted anything in the warcraft folder?...

To take a snapshot:
Step 1: When the map starts loading the progress bar hit Prt Scrn (Above Insert)
Step 2: Open Paint (After it crashes...) then press CTRL+V
Step 3: Visit Image Shack, upload the image
Step 4: Copy Paste the <Link>[url] field to a reply box in...screenshot first though that can help alot :P
 
Nope just freezes no error message no nothing just gives me the "This Program is not Responding" crap. And no I haven’t deleted anything and it is in the default folder. That’s what I find so weird...

Ps. Oh if you want it I can tell you the website I got the parts from. They might ship to where you live. Also the price wasn’t half bad neither.

With a Sony Flat Plasma Screen(17 inches) and the comp it cost around 1600$. Cheap price when you think about it.
 
Pfft why spend so much when u get 1 more inch screen for 89 bucks at staples... SO WHAT if it has a bonus 30 inches in the back :P

EDIT: Take a screenshot with the steps plz... cant really help cause i never experienced it...
 

I think it should work.
Now.....as you can see I don’t even get past the first loading bar. The program isn’t even open before it freezes.
 
Man...would that be a change of events. It use to be to slow and now its to fast lol. Well i guess ill have to reinstall it....and see what happens
 
write this down: DO NOT LOSE YOUR CD's OR CDKEYS!

My MPQ got messed up, a few pathings dont work and footman skin is busted in editor only... cant reinstall cuz i lost my tft disc! And dont have my roc key -_-
 
My cd key and cd are somewhere lost in my room, but at least i know its here lol.

Hmmm nope. Doesnt Open. Maybe i just have to leave it on that screen for a while, im going to see if giving it time will work.
 
Well it finally opened....but its extremely slow, oh well at least it opened I guess once im in I can fix it.
Hmm....darn this is really slow. Its taking half an hour just to zoom in lol.
